asked for a high floor,we were on -1. room seemed a bit tired. tea making facilities but no milk,when i enquired i was told "but the portuguese do not have milk in their tea or coffee,i think they must have it made with cold water,as the only plug was under dressing table,where you had to go on hands and knees to plug it in (5 star i dont think so).during our stay the tea and coffee was not replaced(we managed to buy milk at the bar).There was supposed to be a free bus into the town(to far to walk on busy road),but due to so called technical problems was not running (is this typical 5 star)

Good location, close to the beach but also near to night life and good restaurants. Plenty of car parking places, some of them covered. Direct Access to the beach The green space inside resort

For a total cost of +/-500€ per night, as per Hotel site, the offered accommodations are not up to the minimum requirements regarding quality/cleanness/services. The space/location is really beautiful but the offered services, the quality/variety of food, the outdated villas/apartments and the cleanness of space are acceptable for a 3-4 star hotel. Not a 5* like this one is presented. Pool: (1) Draining around the pool (Overflow) completely filth. I believe they were never washed (2) Deck has loose wood boards which can be extremely danger (3) Small tables completely dirt. Not cleaned even at the end of the day (4) area around pools are never organized (5) The Pool bar closes when the pools are still open. The clients on the tables are not informed about the imminent close and not asked if they want to order something before is too late (6) Only bad quality towels are provide (Some of them in really bad conditions). The pickup location is close to reception instead of pools/beach. (7) one pool without any type of staff support. Rooms: (1) Moisture/Humidity issues in several walls (2) Entrance door with holes which allow to look inside (3) Air extractors placed on WC's are extremely noisy. No easy way to turn them off (4) One WC is equipped with an extremely small shower (+/-70x55cm) making impossible not to permanently touch the curtain (bad design because there is enough space) (5) Hot tub not working (6) Poor set of amenities. Reception: (1) They offer an upgrade, one room apt to two room apt. This was perceived as a nice gesture when in reality was just a way they found to solve a problem they created: There was no T1 prepared because they were not expecting us (Bad communication, I guess) (2) The hotel was not crowded even so, the offered "upgrade" put my family on an apartment at resort entrance (far away from beach/reception) and with all rooms facing a busy public street.
