The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok

Check-in took slightly longer than expected but was otherwise ok. Room was prepared with a extra bed before we arrived which was great. Bathroom had both bathtub and shower cubicle which was great. We didnt get much chance to use the facilities but the Royal Club lounge was pleasant and comfortable enough experience. Breakfast was great, the international fare presented was just right. The location was just right too, near a BTS station which gave us the option to take mass public transporation. There were a few malls around the area which also made it very convenient. Staff were in general, pleasant and extremely helpful. Pool was a bit small though.... All in all, my wife enjoyed the experience in this hotel and since it was for her birthday. It was money well spent for me.

The recurring Marriott corporate video on the TV was of extremely low quality.... perhaps, quality of the clip should be upgraded... otherwise it gives a very bad impression of Marriott to whoever watches it....

The hotel very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful,, love our stay and will come back to stay again! Everything very perfect

Slow elevators.

There was an official event involving the military leaders of several countries - and guests like me were inconvenienced as a result. For example there were elevators waiting at the lobby level that we were told we were not allowed to use - because they were waiting for VIPs.
