Avantatges: This building is intended for student housing for the London School of Economics, but in the off season it rents out like a hotel. As such, the rooms are fairly bare and unadorned, but that's fine by me as I didn't spend much time in the rooms aside from sleeping.
Food:
On premises there is a cafeteria that serves hot breakfast (bacon, fried potatoes, fried bread, fruit, yogurt, cereal, sausage, eggs, etc). The breakfast tastes like college food, but it's plentiful. There is also dinner some days I guess, but I never attended it. There is also a nice bar! There is pool, darts and foosball. The drinks are VERY cheap (think student prices).
Location: The new Tate Modern building is being built nearby, and I think it may be done by the time the next summer season rolls around. The current one is very close by as are several bridges, the BlackFriars train stop, Borough market (very fun), many food options, the walkway along the river and the Globe Theatre.
Desavantatges: Honestly, I thought this place was great. The only issue I encountered was that someone was smoking somewhere on our floor and it smelled pretty bad.
