Internet is not free. Unbelievable for a 4 star hotel.

Staff Welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was top class. (Would recommend the Irish Breakfast in the Wheeltapper Bar) Room spacious and comfortable. We found the City really easy to navigate from this Hotel. Just around the Corner from Grand Central Station and Subway.

Good size room for NYC. Great Location in midtown.
Smell of dampness every where in the hotel but especially in the room.. noisy AC the trigger a bed smell of mold. The bath towels were probably white once .. not any more .. now they are grey.

Location is good, as with the many other hotels in the same area. Check out was quick, as it should be. Aircon was quiet and effective. TV worked.
Drab and dark rooms, beyond just the usual blah. No character because the promised Irish charm is lost in a fog of mediocrity. Room might as well have had no windows -- the one tiny window looked into the wall of another building. This all made the small room feel even smaller. Worn mattress, soft and lumpy. Stained carpet. Tiles on bathroom floor were chipped in many places. Could not set clock to correct time (housekeeping should do this). This is an ultra low budget hotel on quality and upkeep, but not on price. I will try something else for my next trip to NYC.

NY is big, so one is to be smart when choosing the location of the hotel. The Fizpatrick is very conveniently located, you walk less than a minute to enter GST and from there you can go wherever you want. The hotel is neat, proper, rooms are bigger than the usual Manhattan standard. Staff is kind and professional, attentive to customers needs. And the complementary access to the fitness center is a huge bonus. Highly recommended!
