H10 Tenerife Playa

Great location, right by the beach and the beautiful centre of playa de la Cruz. Friendly staff. Sea view balcony well worth the upgrade price.

Very much a ‘Saga Hotel’. All entertainment, and the general opening hours of e.g. the bar, aimed at the hotel’s majority clientele of people aged 65+. “All-inclusive” offering extremely stingy, with many (most?) drinks requiring not a supplement but a full-price charge. Also stopped at midnight, so neither all nor inclusive! Food was wildly inconsistent but mostly average-to-poor. Very few vegetarian options, with many seemingly vegetarian options (e.g. potato croquettes) bizarrely having meat in them, but not being labelled as such. Cocktails were downright awful. What kind of madman puts orange juice in an Old Fashioned? A Batman villain, that’s who. Beds were very hard. I liked them but your mileage may vary, my partner was not a fan. “Double rooms” were two single beds pushed together. Have fun with that gap, because you WILL fall into it. Design of balconies, with large holes in the walls, means no privacy whatsoever. Particularly a problem given the prevalence of smokers who stay at this hotel. If you don’t like cigar and cigarette smoke, AVOID. No-smoking areas so close to smoking areas and so small as to be basically pointless. Only a ‘4-star hotel’ by the most generous of standards.

Lo más que me gusto fue el trato del personal. Atentos y amables. La comida buffet con mucha variedad. Y la zonas de piscina, limpias.
