This was our 9th visit to ME and our last visit was 10/17. Many updates to dining buffet area and cleanliness. We especially liked seeing the serving stations with freshly cooked food by attendant. The food and menus were well above average. The cave ire was a nice touch at the private check in with champagne and appetizers. Our butler was new and that was okay since we knew the place and Juan Fernado did anything we asked he delivered. Was surprised that there were new machines and modern.
Casino was not good to me, and only 1 visit I made money on slots. Was surprised that there were new machines and modern.

Experiencia maravillosa
Nuestra estancia en el Magestic Elegance fue verdaderamente inolvidable. El personal era muy amable y servicial. El servicio para los miembros del Elegance Club fue increíble. No podríamos haber disfrutado más de nuestra luna de miel!

Staff really made the stay that much better!!
This was for our honeymoon and it was extremely relaxing. We enjoyed everything from the room, the food and the location. However the staff really made us feel welcome more than anything. Evelyn was the sweetest lady and helped us with our Spanish which was really cool and made us want to come visit with her everyday. The whole crew was amazing as well. Just to name a few that went the extra mile were Yahaira, Alberto, Black Barbie, and Franchesca. They were excelente!! Also their were a couple guys that did a paddle board yoga session with us and they were hilarious and a lot of fun but unfortunately we forgot to write their names down so now I can't recall. Overall though we would definitely recommend this place it was an awesome experience. Spending the extra money for the exclusive membership is worth it as well because the place is rather large and it's nice having your own butler and desk to help you with booking reservations and excursions. Their was only one restaurant we weren't huge fans which was Sea & See but a lot of others liked it. Just wasn't for us I guess. We loved the food everywhere else though and the drinks were always coming and very delicious as well!

Just Okay
The beach front area had plenty of seats and the beach itself was beautiful. Staff was friendly at all times. The food options were good and with a variety. They had day and night activities to offer so there was always something you could do if you chose.
One of the pools was drained and out of use so the first two days we did not use the pool because the other pool was full which was really annoying. Dinner reservations to specific restaurants could only be made in person so it was an inconvenience to have to go to the front and worry about something that could be easier if you could call from your room. They have an unnecessary policy for beach towels that I have never experienced at another resort. It's like a trick because they know someone is bound to lose their towel card and incur $25. Wifi was spotty and unreliable at times.

“After a little hiccup at checkin (they couldn't find our booking) everything went smoothly. We had Hector as a butler and he was great! He did his best making my birthday special and was always helpful. The room was really spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay a lot. All the staff were kind and joyful. Would stay here again anytime.”

“This was our second visit and it was just as spectacular as the first time. The staff is amazing. In particular, I would like to thank Ysabel and Villavicencio at the snack shop. They are two of the most joyful people I have ever met. I looked forward to seeing them both every day. Both Ysabel and Villavicencio helped me IMMENSELY with my Spanish. They each gave me a quick lesson every day and I could see an improvement by the time I left. They also make a great espresso!! The food is excellent, particularly in the French and Italian restaurants and Sea & Sea. The Italian restaurant was by far the best food we had all week. The Osso Buco and the tenderloin were both outstanding! Our servers Francis and Edwin were better than any servers we have had in the USA. They were attentive; they anticipated our needs; they moved quickly but always had a few moments to stop by the table and chat. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They give you everything you could possible need. Our housekeeper Liz was superb! Always smiling and friendly! Liz fulfilled our every request (which was mostly more coffee and creamer). She kept our room spotless. The swim-up suites are very nice. We would have preferred a suite away from the swim up bar. We don't drink so we found it to be a bit noisy. Next year we will request a swim-up suite in a more quiet location. Beaches are spotless; plenty of chairs and palapas for everyone. We could have used the private Elegance Club section of the beach, but found that the chairs there are much too close together and it’s almost entirely shade. We were much happier in the regular section of the beach. I could write much more about the food, wonderful entertainment, casino, and the excellent staff! We love Majestic Elegance. Can't wait to go back next year. Our vacations here are the one week every year that I actually feel relaxed. For us not to watch TV or check the news for 8 days is a miracle! That’s how wonderful it is at Majestic!”
