La ropa de cama estaba sucia cuando nos registrábamos, no había agua gratis en la habitación, no reponían los artículos de tocador. El registro fue rápido y se acomodaron temprano, lo cual fue agradable.
Excelsior Roma - Fallen from grace
This used to be the place to be - via Veneto, Harry's Bar, a beautiful tree-lined windy boulevard in the heart of Rome. A recent overnight at the Excelsior which is in the Westin group was very disappointing. Sadly, our "upgraded" room facing via Veneto was in disrepair, the carpet was soiled and stained, doorknobs loose or broken, paint chipping and wallpaper peeling. Staff were fairly friendly but as I have stayed in many hotels in Rome, this group did not compare. Hefty nightly charge not worth the money. We only enjoyed the high ceilings and 18th-century architecture.
Nos hemos alojado en este hotel muchas veces a lo largo de los años y nos encantó. El edificio es precioso y el vestíbulo/zona principal es espectacular.
El hotel estaba lleno de una conferencia de algún tipo. Al señor que nos registró no le importaba. Nos encantó este hotel en el pasado, pero creo que esta fue nuestra última visita allí. La habitación era mediocre, el personal era mediocre, me decepcionó mucho.
Well situated and wonderful staff!
The staff were incredibly lovely and helpful. The location was terrific in relation to many sights. Can walk to Spanish Steps & many others. Hotel is clean, beautiful & basically comfortable.
I visited in December and with the heat turned up to high I wasn't able to get the room warm enough. That is my only complaint.

The room was big and comfortable. Staff were friendly.
Housekeeping was poor. Also, there were several steps inside and outside the hotel making it a nightmare for parents with a baby and a stroller.
We were upgraded to a suite just because we had mentioned in our booking that it was our wedding anniversary and were offered a bottle of champagne and strawberries upon our arrival..
For such a luxury hotel,I thought the breakfast buffet was not at par.The cleaning crew were often late and forgot to provide soaps and other cometics like gels and shampoos and shower caps.
Excellent location for all the sights and dining locations of Rome. Also, close by to the Metro.
The drain in the shower was obviously stopped b/c the water built up and spilled out into the floor every time we took showers.
I really loved the bathroom. The size, the quality of material, there was marble all over the floor and the walls. The room was also allways very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The hotel needs some renovation, even though I like the renaissance style and by no means should this be altered. However, it's a pity that the heating did not work properly at a Westin hotel.
Un comentarioo que no desmejora la excelentes condiciones del hotel. A nuestra llegada el hotel desconociò la reserva con pre pago que habìamos realizado alegando que ellos no realizaban tramites de habitaciones prepagadas. El incidente se resolviò consignando mi tarjeta VISA para hacer los cargos, el hotel aceptò respetar la tarifa (aun cuando agregò los impuestos). Quisiera saber si la falla fue mìa al hacer la resrvaciòn, o del hotel al recibir la notificaciòn o de Booking.com; me gustaria la aclaratoria para no tener incertidumbre en futuras resrvaciones y su efectiva aplicaciòn. Le anoto que en este viaje usamos tres hoteles: Danieli en Venecia, Westin en Florencia, y Westin en Roma; en los dos primeros no hubo problemas. Gracias.
La amplitud, y ubicacion
no esta bien preparado de enchufes para conectar moviles, ordenadores ...... de entrada como en muchos otros no han dado las habitaciones peor situadas
su diversificacion de cafeterias y restaurantes buenisimos que dispone el hotel
reservamos una habitacion gran deluxe y nos dieron una deluxe. Nos quejamos a booking y al hotel y pasaron olympicamente de nosotros ,sin darnos explicacion , y por parte de booking una falta de profesionalidad increible , no fueron capazes despues de llamarle en 3 ocasiones de hablarnos claro ó decirnos otra cosa que no fueran llevarnos en palabras.
