“We paid extra for a large room with views over the garden and terrace. It certainly was spacious with high ceilings and a good size bathroom and bed, and it was nice and quiet. The gardens are lovely and the hotel exudes an air of old world charm and style. We liked the personal touches such as the shelves of blankets and lanterns to take out with you onto the terrace. We didn’t use the pool but it is in a stunning setting.”
