Avantatges: La disponibilidad y simpatía de Mikel, sus indicaciones nos vinieron de perlas! La generosidad que tuvieron tanto en la recepción como en el checkout, nos derajon una habitación más tarde, lo que mejoró mucho nuestro viaje al salir el vuelo por la noche. Las camas comodísimas. Nevera y cafetera en las habitaciones con botella de agua y cafés y tés de bienvenida. Buena ubicación, al lado de la estación y de la parada del bus al aeropuerto. A un paso del casco antiguo y cerca de todo.

Avantatges: Un regalo para los viajeros cansados, este hotel fue un poco de respiro de la variedad de paseos turísticos. Las habitaciones eran espaciosas y bien diseñadas. El servicio era profesional y eficiente. Los detalles de este hotel de lujo fueron la guinda del pastel: Servicio de apertura de cama, aerosol para dormir con aromaterapia, albornoz y zapatillas de cortesía. La cercanía al Guggenheim y al paseo marítimo es inmejorable.

Avantatges: Desde que entras en el hotel todo es amabilidad, nada mas llegar nos recogieron el vehículo y nos lo llevaron al garaje, el dormitorio era grande con buenos armarios gran televisión baño amplio y cómodo.
Desavantatges: Las almohadas eran enormes de mucha altura es una pena ya que el colchón era magnifico. Seria recomendable poner un kit de cepillo de dientes .

Avantatges: Everything. The location is superb—a very short walk from the Guggenheim. The room was sparkling clean, very comfortable, with a great bathroom and shower, strong air conditioning, blackout shades, and an excellent large bed. Very convenient to have an elevator. An excellent price. We were given an early check in. We found welcome treats in the room. There’s a sitting area with free coffee and cookies. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. Along with all of its strengths, what made this hotel exceptional was its professional, friendly, kind staff. Every person made us fell welcome. Highly recommended.

Avantatges: You couldn’t wish for a better location to visit the Guggenheim Art Gallery or the Fine Art Museum or to take a walk along the river. It’s also good for exploring the older parts of the city. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with effective air conditioning. Secure WiFi was appreciated. Staff were helpful. The bus stop to get to the airport is just across the road.

Avantatges: The staff went above and beyond to help me throughout my stay. Deborah the front desk receptionist was super hospitable and helpful as with all the rest of the staff. Everyone spoke English very well. The room felt like I was in a 5-star hotel with a nice view of the main street. Plenty of natural light which I prefer. The extra attention to detail is what I appreciated the most about this hotel. The toiletries were an unexpected bonus. The Guggenheim museum is only 5 minutes away by walking and the airport bus drops you off one block from the hotel and picks you up in front of the hotel. There were plenty of restaurant choices in the area. Minimal room noise from the street and I could not hear my neighbors were a plus. Bed was quite comfortable. Hot water was immediate.
Desavantatges: Some of the tv channels did not work such as CNN and when running the water or flushing the toilet, it made a strange honking sound coming from the building.

La Pensión Arriaga és a 150 m de la catedral de Bilbao, al centre històric de la ciutat. Ofereix estudis amplis amb un disseny modern de diversos colors, TV de pantalla plana i WiFi gratuïta. Tots els estudis de la Pensión Arriaga disposen de calefacció central, ventilador i bany elegant amb assecador. També inclouen sofà llit, microones, nevera i tauleta. A 2 minuts a peu de la Pensión Arriaga trobareu moltes botigues, restaurants i bars de tapes típics. La parada de tramvia d'Arriaga, que us permetrà accedir directament al Museu Guggenheim, és a menys de 200 m. L'estació de tren d'Abando és a 600 m de l'establiment.

Avantatges: Estuvimos en el mes de agosto. Nos gustó todo empezando por el trato muy familiar. En todo momento preocupados por nuestra estancia. Ubicacion excelente en pleno casco histórico. Paradas de transporte público muy cerca. Limpieza diaria. Detalles de agua y cafés e infusiones en la habitación. Aún siendo un primer piso y estar en plena zona turística no se oía el ruido de la calle ni de los otros apartamentos. Repetiria sin duda. Les animo a seguir así.
Desavantatges: Por poner algo el suelo de parquet hacía ruido y las almohadas eran algo finas aunque seguro que disponen de distintos tipos

Desavantatges: A pesar de ser una calle peatonal el ruido se oia como si estuvieras en la callle.Además estaban en fiestas y a las de la mañana pasaba el camión de la limpieza.Debería al menos tener una doble ventana. A pesar de estar 3 dias solo vimos a las trabajadoras 5m. te dan un tlf para emergencias y ya.Creo que al menos una llamada para ver como ha ido tu estancia o si tienes algún problema.

Desavantatges: There was no air conditioning so we had to open the windows for fresh air and to cool down the room. However it was so noisy outside that we had trouble sleeping as people were out walking and talking on the streets until the early hours. So I would recommend asking for a quiet room.

Avantatges: Muy buena ubicación en el casco viejo de Bilbao. La chica de la recepción tuvo la amabilidad de esperarnos porque nos habíamos atrasado un poquito a raíz de nuestro vuelo. Muy cómoda la habitación y teníamos además de cortesía café y té para prepararnos en el desayuno. En la pensión pudimos agarrar mapas de la ciudad y había además muchos folletos con excursiones de los alrededores.

Desavantatges: El personal es un poco desorganizado y no muy servicial. Individualmente, eran educados y amables. Pero me esperaba algo más de un hotel de 4 estrellas. Me miraban como si yo tuviera tres cabezas cada vez que pedía el número de algún restaurante o un taxi. La respuesta a todo era darme un mapa.
UBICACIÓN. Esto es APENAS en Bilbao, en mi opinión. El hotel está literalmente situado en la rampa de salida al dejar la ciudad. que apenas cabía en el mapa de del centro de la ciudad. Si vas por negocios, es perfecto. Pero si tienes pensado explorar la ciudad, prepárate para andar, tomar trenes, buses, etc. Recomiendo encarecidamente que los turistas no se alojen en este hotel. Son por lo menos 45 minutos al Guggenheim y la mayoría de las atracciones turísticas. Está un poco cerca de la parte vieja, pero aún así a 15 minutos a pie.

Avantatges: El hotel en magnificas condiciones. Muy nuevo, y las habitaciones muy espaciosas, limpias y comodas. Destacar el parking nada caro (11 € la noche) pero sobre todo la amplitud. Solo por la rampa cabría un camión, y después de los parkings que he visto...merece la pena. No esta nada lejos del casco antiguo. Desayuno buffet bastante completo y el personal nos atendió con simpatia y profesionalidad, para mi de "10".

Avantatges: El staff super simpatico, nos dieron hasta peluches para los niños. pedi una habitacion con cama supletoria, y llame para añadir una cuna. Por telefono me dijeron que la cuna no cabia, al llegar me di cuenta de que si que cabia ( un poco justa, pero solo estabamos una noche) y en menos de 5 minutos ya me habian subido la cuna, con productos especiales de baño para el bebe y sin ningun coste adicional).

Desavantatges: Check in time was stated to be from 3pm; but the pension said that we could arrange to check in earlier by special arrangement. When I asked to do so, we were then told by the manager that we could only leave our bags, and check in would have to be from 3pm. We arranged to leave bags at midday; when we arrived housekeeping wouldn't let us in. I had to call the manager, and we only got in after a lengthy delay. Check-in was even worse; we arranged over the phone with the manager to meet her at 3pm outside, she turned up after 4.30pm, ruining our day/plans. She lied/was 'confused' about our check in time; I had to text her a few times/call her to remind her we were there waiting on the street to be let in ! Totally rubbish, frustrating and upsetting; we had to cancel our day trip to San Sebastian as a result.

Avantatges: Personal amable, habitación grande y baño muy amplio. El hotel es moderno y está bien situado fuera del Casco Viejo. En la calle había bastante ruido pero las habitaciones están bien insonorizadas del exterior, ojalá se pudiera decir lo mismo en cuanto al ruido de las habitaciones.
Desavantatges: Muchísimo ruido de la habitación de al lado. Nos pusieron en una habitación familiar a pesar de ir en pareja, por lo que había una puerta que unía nuestra habitación con la de al lado por dentro. Estando la puerta cerrada, se oía absolutamente todo. Desde conversaciones en tono normal hasta la televisión. Fuimos durante la Semana Grande y lo que nos impidió domir fue el vecino de habitación, no el ruido que había en la calle.

Desavantatges: I had emailed in advance to ask if there was parking and the cost but never received a reply which I found a bit odd. We arrived early and left our bags with the porter and went out to explore. We came back and checked in and were told our bags would be sent to our room. We waited for an hour then I called to chase. I was told they would be right up. After fifteen minutes I went and collected them myself. The shower in our room was broken in that it didn’t stay up when turned on so we had to hold it. The glass partition at the bath wasn’t sealed so after a shower the bathroom floor was flooded. I raised this all at check out as we had only stayed one night and was told that they would let maintenance know. I would have expected to have been given the parking complimentary at least - but no. The one thing I didn’t raise was I had booked a double and we had a twin room - not a huge problem as only one night and both twin beds were nice and large. So whilst it was fine I personally wouldn’t rush back, but I’m sure the vast majortity of visitors will have better experiences.

Avantatges: The hotel is in a good location for travelling/walking around the city, for example, you can walk to the Guggenheim easily and the old town district. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable bed, air con etc. Breakfast was reasonable, another time I might skip breakfast and get something outside. There is a small bar and a comfortable terrace area for a late evening drink.
Desavantatges: The coffee from the coffee machine wasn't great and I do think a good coffee at breakfast is one of the pleasures of a hotel stay, so this was a bit disappointing. A decently powered hair dryer would also be a bonus.

Easy walking distance to the Old Town, the Guggenheim (simply beautiful) and the modern commercial center. The staff were really great, can't compliment them enough. The queen size bed is a dream sleep. Use the protected parking. Inexpensive and very secure. We wil definitely be back.

Desavantatges: A group of six amigos barged in around midnight chatting and laughing as if there weren’t three other people sleeping in the room. In the morning, the same group commandeered the two bathrooms for 40 minutes. (I timed it). Even though everyone was given an info sheet that clearly states that guests should be considerate of others and that the room is for sleeping, not socializing, that’s obviously not enough. Not everybody is going to read the entire sheet. Perhaps the clerk can politely remind guests upon check-in that the room is a shared space and that guests are expected to be considerate of others. A few signs to that effect in the bathroom and on the room door might help, too.

Avantatges: Viaje improvisado de ultimo momento, reservamos una habitacion cuadruple privada con baño privado, mis padres y yo, porque no habia disponibilidad en ningun otro lado. Al ser un hostel sinceramente iba con espectativas bajas, pero realmente las supero! Habitacion muy amplia con una cama cucheta (litera) y dos individuales muy amplia, con un locker al lado de cada cama (para poner tu propio candado), unos ventanales muy amplios con hermosas vistas. El desayuno (de 8 a 9am) incluido, no es gran cosa pero yo lo veo correcto (pan para calentar, manteca, mermelada, unos bollos, cafe con leche, sumo de naranja, ensalada de frutas, yogurt). Cocina y ambientes compartidos muy agradables y limpios. Personal correcto. Aparcamiento en las inmediaciones se consigue rapido y gratis. La unica pena es que los colchones (los 4) son muy blandos y viejos, entonces te hundis en el medio, esto me parece verdaderamente una pena, porque lo demas esta todo de 10, pero uno va a descansar, y la verdad que yo me desperte peor que como llegue (y no soy muy tikismikis con los colchones)
Desavantatges: -Los colchones! Necesitan URGENTEMENTE un cambio, te hundes en el medio y despiertas con dolor de espaldas. Lo demas, son pequeñas cosas mas que nada para que la gente tenga en cuenta, ya que si vas sabiendolo, no es nada malo: - llevar candado -llevar toalla (si no, tienes que pagar su alquiler) -te dan secador de pelo mediante un deposito de 20€ -desayuno solamente 1 hora: de 8-9 hs.

Desavantatges: Room doors are closing automaticaly which is quite loud. That's about 30-40 door slamming between 7-8. Don't plan a long sleep you will wake up when everybody else does...

Avantatges: Good price. Easy parking. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful.
Desavantatges: It is a bit far from the city center (you can reach the attractions in 30 minutes by bus). The breakfast is very basic.
