Desavantatges: The checkin required 30 minutes of waiting time as staff on the desk helped others. After travelling it’s unacceptable to allow guests to stand for 30’minutes at check in line with no acknowledgement from the staff. Whilst one staff helps two tourists find shopping spots on a map and answer their inane questions. Just simply unacceptable. The desk staff are unhelpful, unwelcome, inattentive, slow and just provide bad service The food in room service is just bad and inconsistent. Even u order the same dish. The bar staff are rude The location is awful Avoid

Arquitectura del hotel, pisos, habitaciones, etc. son increíbles. ¡Nunca vi nada como ellos!
Desavantatges: El personal del restaurante era terrible. Éramos dos hombres vestidos de traje. Entramos en el restaurante a las 21:15; no estaba muy lleno, pero había varias mesas con clientes. Nos marchamos a 21:40, sin conseguir siquiera un vaso de agua, o incluso que miraran en nuestra dirección, ya no digamos "lo atenderemos en un momento". En vez de eso, ni los 3 o 4 camareros ni el capitán hicieron contacto visual con nosotros.
Así que nos fuimos a la recepción y nos dieron una recomendación a un muy buen restaurante justo al final de la calle.

Desavantatges: the staff at the reception are totally not friendly and definitely they know nothing about being in a 5 stars hotel !! not cooperative and not helpful especially the two ladies were at the reception during around 3pm on 29th February (Ana & other lady) they were ready to start a fight with us with out hesitation !! although we booked two rooms for two nights !! we will not for sure come to this hotel again.

Desavantatges: La ubicació horrible, a booking posa a 5’ a peu del barri de Salamanca,el q fa pensar que és prou cèntric però els 5’ a peu són 10’ i de l’extraradi del barri de Salamanca, a part has de creuar la M30 per accedir. Molt poc còmode si vols moure’t per Madrid

Avantatges: The staff was very friendly and thoughtful; they left us a box of chocolates for our anniversary. We stayed on the 1st floor (Zaha Hadid). The room was incredibly beautiful and perfect.

Avantatges: The room was a welcomed sight for sore traveller eyes. It was clean and spectacular. The room was very comfortable and in a good location for a splendid afternoon walk and sightsee. We also found the view a perfect addition to the already splendid room. The facilities had nice added touches with underfloor heating in the bathroom and a spa shower.
Desavantatges: We loved the whole room and cannot find one fault except that if you were to book this room please check other sites as the listing is quote high on bookings.com. We have appreciated the site for how helpful it has been but it did take us back when we found the exact same room for 100 euros less.

Avantatges: Location is excellent. Also bars in the hotel are amazing - the terrace is such a nice place for drinks in the evenings. The cocktail bar is also really cool. I stayed at the hotel twice already and will definitely come back when I return to Madrid.

Me dijeron que para una conexión "premium" tendría que pagar 4 euros al día. Lo hice y mi conexión "mejorada" iba a 3 MB/s ... ¿en serio?
Dejaré este hotel por unos años más hasta que comprendan lo que es un "hotel de negocios ... olvidé el garaje ... ¡es una trampa para ratones no un garaje! Hay otro hotel (Regina) a un precio medio y relación calidad-precio doble que esto.

Avantatges: The room was very spacious. I got a very quiet room inside the building, with a window with natural light. It has an entrance hall that isolates the bathroom and the main room, with doors so it is very quiet if somebody is having a shower in the bathroom without disturbing the sleep of the person in bed. The staff was very helpful. We got our room early in the morning before the official check in. We noticed a few flight crew departing from different airlines, so if this is a preferred hotel for them it means is one of the best hotels to stay around the area. We also noticed a few events on the lobby but no noise was in the morning. Very quiet! We stayed only one night.
Desavantatges: The shower did not have much pressure but I do not thing is a big issue because the bathroom was very spacious and well designed.

Desavantatges: Neteja de l’habitació. No disposar de beneficis al parking per ser client. Els llits son millorables en quan a descans i comfort. Lentitut dels equips elevadors. Preu del desdejuni.

Desavantatges: Lovely hotel, a little further out than originally thought but transport links on the doorstep and such great helpful staff more than made up for it. Restaurant on site serves very reasonable meals, well stocked and again competitively priced bar was a welcome change to other cities visited. Would thoroughly recommend.

Avantatges: El hotel las instalaciones los desayunos y el spa y el trato al cliente por parte de los recepcionista un 10.
Desavantatges: Que la cisterna hacía un ruido muy fuerte cada poco rato y para dormir es incómodo. Y qué la chica de la limpieza entró a la habitación y desde la entrada nos dijo que a qué hora podía pasar a limpiar.

Desavantatges: Habitación muy anticuada. Cama sin cabecero y por lo tanto la pared muy sucia. El colchon necesitaba ser renovado urgentemente. Hacía mucha calor en la habitación, el aire acondicionado no funcionaba y para abrir la ventana tenía que subirme a un mueble. Por la noche debieron desconectar la luz porque no he podido cargar el móvil en ningún enchufe.

The choice of bar snacks/salads was very good and reasonably priced for a 4 star hotel. There was a good choice of foods at breakfast and there were different prices categories. So if you only wanted a continental breakfast, it was half the price of the full international cooked breakfast
Desavantatges: The hotel suited me as I was there for business. It is possible to get a taxi from the hotel very quickly but to use public transport involved a considerable walk and two changes on the Metro to get into the centre of Madrid. So probably not the best location for sight seeing and tourist attractions if you only have limited time

Desavantatges: Room was extremely cold despite of the air conditioning system in full power on winter mode. Lifts are extremely slow... it easily takes 5 minutes to move from lower level floors to reception. Rooms are rather old style, no power point close to bed, worn out furniture Had a revamp on the dinning area and it looks nice a clean but kept the same poor breakfast options as before. Last but not least, got charged 230Eur for 1 night... certainly overpriced.

Desavantatges: No avisaron cuando llegamos de que el spa era para mayores de 16 años ni de que había que pagar, nos enteramos al llegar al spa con los bañadores puestos. Me pareció muy mal. Les pregunté expresamente por el spa y no informaron y eso que vieron que había un niño conmigo. Había pelos en la bañera cuando llegamos. No me pareció un hotel de 5 estrellas la verdad.

Desavantatges: There was a fire on our first night there. The fire alarms didn’t go off and we were woken by the smell of smoke and the sound of firemen shouting in Spanish ( we assume it was get out) We vacated the hotel and when the fire was put out we slowly were returned to our rooms. Very difficult to sleep because of the strong smell of smoke. The next day was spent in Madrid doing the tourist things that we wanted to . When back at the hotel I was amazed to discover that all of the fire doors were open on our floor. This hotel clearly doesn’t put the safety of its clients at the front .... DONT STAY THERE . if there is a fire you won’t know as they don’t use alarms.

Desavantatges: Sabiendo que conseguir una reserva en Madrid el sábado por la noche es complicado- el precio pagado por habitación estándar de 161 euros fue un timo. El hotel no muy diferente de Ibis. Tardamos 20 minutos para encontrar mi reserva y hacer el registro de entrada. El proceso de registro fue demasiado lento - había un grupo delante de mí en el vestíbulo y en más de una hora para llegar a la habitación (el grupo no era una reserva de última hora como estaba previsto y reservado con antelación - equipo totalmente incompetente en la salida). El hotel estaba bien, pero realmente no era diferente de IBIS en término de tamaño de la habitación, comodidad, probablemente aún más deficiente en términos de ubicación. Tiene una piscina, pero el clima no era bueno - esto podría ser la única diferencia. El desayuno estaba bien.

Avantatges: During check-in, receptionist help us to book the restaurant, which one of the best (highly rated on TripAdvisor) restaurants in Madrid, just around the corner 10 min walk from this hotel. We took a metro to Madrid central area. We loved the breakfast, very child-friendly hotel ( during breakfast stuff for kids as well as specificities kids shampoo and body milk is provided).

Desavantatges: The room was extremely hot. There was no option to reduce the temperature of the room. A member of the staff offered to change our room to a smaller one that was less warm. We strongly recommend having a thermostat in each room that allows reducing the temperature when it's substantially higher than the one outside.

Avantatges: Breakfast buffet was of an exceptional quality, the staff were very accommodating and helpful, breaking the barrier of me being english speaking only. A blonde lady who works in the restaurant during the morning was exceptionally helpful, I didn't catch her name, but she made my stay more pleasant than she probably knows. The bar terrace is gorgeous, I visited in February which meant it was really quiet, I practically had the bar and terrace to myself most afternoon and evenings. Ventas metro is literally 7 minutes walk away from the hotel and the area is very safe, middle class and doesn't boast young people drinking in the streets like how the city is. There is a small bar opposite the hotel entrance which is open till late if you miss the restaurant and bar times inside the hotel, also only a few minutes walk away are shops for groceries and medicines, tobaccos, florist, clothes and any other small everyday items you might need. The hotel provide complimentary coffee and pastries for people who wake up or check out before 8am. The higher up your room is the better the view! Room service is fairly priced and I recommend the pizza for a filling meal before venturing out into the city!
Desavantatges: Everything was perfect! A huge shame that the rooms do not provide any tea or coffee making facilities.

Sin lugar a dudas de los mejores desayunos que disfruté en un hotel. Avantatges: We had a fantastic stay at NH Museo Del Prado- excellent service from start to finish and a birthday cake for my Mum on our first night. We also were given a 2pm check out for free! Staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast spread was delicious. Location couldn’t be beaten either with all museums within walking distance. I’d highly recommend this hotel and we hope we will be able to come and stay again in the near future.

Desavantatges: The cleanliness factor not matched the 5 star requirements. The rug in the room show tears and not made rendez-vous with the vacuum cleaner for a while. Common practice to tidy up room right after a guest check out, whenever they leave. So if you are unlucky (as we were) you can enjoy the housekeeper’s noise at dawn from neighboring rooms. The air conditioner doesn’t bring fresh air. You have two choices: keep open the window and let the downtown noise keep you awake all night or you set the temperature down on the aircon getting some fake fresh air feeling.

Mucho sitio para poner las maletas. La cafetería es buena también y la cama comodísima. Hasta tuvimos una habitación con terraza y muy buenas vistas.
Desavantatges: Los acabados del baño tipo siliconas de sellado , etc están un poco rancios. No es muy céntrico, pero está muy bien comunicado, y si fuera céntrico no sería tan amplio ni tendría ese garage tan bueno. Por eso mismo tampoco es como para ponerte a pasear por los alrededores.

Others I get to relax in after I'm done with the long tours and I'm just soaking up the local color. I couldn't have chosen better. In a high rise apartment with awesome views, I had a hot tub right int the bedroom. There was a separate living room with another T.V. The service was over the top. She picked me up at the airport for the same fee as a taxi or less but she waited for me, came inside the airport to get me, told me the sights I should definitely go see while I was there. And she set up WhatsApp for me so I could call her if I got into trouble anywhere. Traveling alone that was an awesome psychological safety net. I explored further than I would have. She did a couple of huge favors for me while I was there too. There's a restaurant right next to the building, another down a block or two, a metro station nearby leading to hundreds of restaurants. You can't beat the bang for the buck here. Samantha's Apartment in Madrid is going to be my home away from home. The ticket to Madrid is usually cheap, so if I want to go some place else, like Morocco, I'm definitely going to stop in Madrid and try to stay at SYT B&B

Avantatges: The beds were amazingly comfortable, the housekeepers were not only very amusing but extraordinarily nice. The hotel was insanely clean and had a very comfortable feel to it, as if a lot of fancy people had been through it over the years. The location is good, but not great, for accessing most of the touristy stuff in Madrid. But I found the Prado (directly beside the Ritz) to be horrifically overcrowded compared to some of the other museums like Sofia Reina just down the street.
Note: Not really easy to access via metro, I'd recommend taking a taxi to/from.
Desavantatges: Take the following review with a grain of salt. I am a young person who grew up poor and wanted, for once, the "Ritz" experience:
While I am a big fan of trying new things, I have to say that the Ritz experience just wasn't for me. I don't mean to be crass, but if I had a fistful of fives - I can think of a few places I'd rather spend it than tipping the endless stream of people trying to help me with things.
Additionally, there is a little doll that you place on your door if you do not wish to be disturbed. Note: Don't leave the doll up for very long, because if you do, they will call your room until you answer so that they can ask when the next time they can come in your room is. I nap maybe... 2-3 times per year at most, and I am severely irritated that they felt the need to call during my biannual nap to ask me when they can come in my room. Instead of changing my sheets 3X per day, how about leaving me the hell alone when I have my DO NOT DISTURB DOLL up?
Perhaps I am not cut out for the lifestyle, but I don't want/need people treating me like a helpless child, yet simultaneously making me feel "lower" than they are. Every time I offered a "no thanks, I don't need a taxi, I'm walking" or walked into the hotel from the street, I received these weird looks of incredulity/disdain that I didn't particularly care for. When I brought my own luggage downstairs on checkout I absolutely horrified the front desk attendant.
Why the need to treat people like this? I have no idea. My recommendation? Take the $500 per night you'd spend here for the standard room and split it in half. Take $250 / night to spend on some other hotel's suite. Take the other $250 and stick it back in your pocket.

I particularly loved our room, where I found the bed to be plush and luxurious compared to other comparable hotels throughout Spain. The sound insulation between rooms is non-existent, I heard every conversation my neighbours were having in the rooms at either side, people coughing and sneezing all night, you could even hear people using the WC. Even earplugs could not block out the all night door-slamming contest in the corridor. My room was clean and comfortable but I didn't sleep a wink for four nights. I left feeling exhausted and wishing I'd booked somewhere else that offered far better value and a good night's sleep. Regrettably I booked two consecutive weekends at Hotel Villa Real, different rooms / floors each time. Same noise problem in both and the shower was blocked in the first room and water leaked onto the bathroom floor. Staff seemed very unhappy with me for reporting it. Reception staff were very efficient and polite but I never saw them smile.

Avantatges: Hemos ido dos veces y la verdad es que el personal siempre encantador. Suele ir gente joven así que es normal que haya ruido pero nada fuera de lo normal (he visto malas críticas con respecto a ello) la habitación 10 es cómoda.
Desavantatges: Sólo nos pusieron 2 toallas pequeñas para dos personas, y nada para poner en el suelo, por lo tanto sólo pudimos usar una toalla.

Avantatges: Reservé este alojamiento como regalo para mis padres, por lo que fueron ellos los que se alojaron y han estado encantados. Me contaron que los dueños son encantadores, que nada más llegar les dieron una habitación en el Hostal en lugar del Hostel para que estuvieran más cómodos y tranquilos, les recomendaron sitios para comer de muy buena calidad y a un precio muy asequible y en todo momento fueron muy amables, atentos y serviciales. Estuvieron alojados en una habitación doble con baño privado que daba a un patio interior, por lo que no se oía ningún ruido y todo estaba muy tranquilo y muy limpio.

Avantatges: The location is great, the room was clean and quiet. The bathroom was clean and hot water was available. I paid 2 euro extra for the towels which is quite reasonable.
Desavantatges: The 12 people dormitory room where I stayed was open 24/7 and I didn’t have keys to lock it. The locker was too small for my backpack.

Avantatges: Ubicación perfecta. Buenas ventanas que aíslan del ruido exterior. En verano habrá que elegir entre calor o ruido. El colchón era bueno. Agua caliente abundante en la ducha. Guardan el equipaje hasta que partes de viaje.
Desavantatges: Todo está muy viejo y descuidado. La habitación es fea y destartalada. El baño de la habitación resulta incómodo y desagradable. Cara a estaciones calurosas carece de climatización. El wifi no llega a la habitación. Muy caro para lo que se ofrece. Absolutamente decepcionante.

Desavantatges: A este hostal (creo que son dos pisos unidos) le hace falta una reforma integral. No ve una reforma desde hace, al menos, 70 años, y me quedo corto. La entrada al edificio principal es decente, antigua, pero decente. Subes al 5º piso (hay ascensor) y tenemos la primera sorpresa, el suelo de la entrada al hostal está hecho una calamidad, cuidado con pisar mal, puedes tener un susto. Llamamos, nos abre un chico, amable y correcto; nos indica por donde tenemos que pasar. Una vez dentro ya vemos que aquello no tiene buena pinta, "bueno por poco más de cien pavos que vamos a pedir, pensamos nosotros en voz baja". Vamos por el pasillo y nuestra vista se detiene en las paredes, las puertas, los muebles, las cortinas. Pensamos que vamos de extras al rodaje de una la película del estilo "Los otros" o "El orfanato". Una vez situados en escena el chico nos indica nuestra habitación. La puerta, es de solera y de capas de pintura. Como cierre un pestillito de esos que se ven en las cuadras donde se guardan los caballos, pues así más o menos. "Bueno tampoco es para tanto, seguimos pensando nosotros, son dos días que se pasan volando". No hay armario. Un perchero para colgar las ropas y poco más. Las camas con sábanas del año catapúm, las mantas, ¡¡¡dios las mantas!!!, no que sean viejas o antiguas, eso es lo de menos, es que no han visto el agua desde que las ovejas bebieron el último sorbo. Igual que los edredones, ¡¡¡santo dios!!!. Pero el colmo de los colmos es el baño, madre del amor hermoso, indecente y nos quedamos cortos: luz tenebrosa, lavabo mejor no tocar, y summum: la ducha. Un prominente escalón da paso al espacio de la ducha. No hace falta aproximarse mucho para apreciar el óxido en las esquinas, la alcachofa de la ducha colgando del cordón por donde sale el agua, puesto que no tiene soporte para dejarla mientras te enjabonas y aclaras. El suelo de la habitación está descascarillado y agrietado.

Avantatges: El hostal se encuentra ubicado de manera central, cerca al centro de Madrid. La mayoría de los sitios turísticos ubicados en el centro se encuentran a una buena distancia caminando. También tiene una estación de metro muy cerca. La habitación se encontraba en buenas condiciones. A pesar de ser un hostal, la presencia de los otros habitantes se sintió poco. La familia que atiende, en especial la señora mayor, es muy agradable, amable y servicial!!!!

Avantatges: Our stay in this place was fantastic! Our lady host was an absolute delight. I don't think you'd be able to find a better price for such fantastic location. The Hotel is literally in the middle of Madrid, surrounded by restaurants, shops, transport and amazing breakfast locations. The room was big and comfortable with a big window looking to the street. We had a private bathroom with a hot shower. Free WiFi was available as well as a lift, so we didn't need to use the stairs. The beds were comfortable enough so we felt well rested each morning.
Desavantatges: I don't think there was anything to complaint about

Desavantatges: La limpieza de la habitación bastante escasa, entre la ropa de cama encontramos una nota del huesped anterior, debajo de la cama habia una moneda y detras de la puerta habia un ticket. En resumidas cuentas, la limpieza brillaba por su ausencia, le pusieron un poco de lejia al WC pa k oliese a lejia y listo.
