Avantatges: Lovely breakfast with lots of choice and lighter options too (salads, yogurt etc.). This is an absolutely beautiful hotel with stunning views from every setting. Every member of staff was so lovely, and the spa was amazing. Our sea view room was perfect, quiet and comfortable with beautiful scenery. We also loved the live music at night on the terrace. Our bathroom /shower facilities were perfect and everything was spotless. We will be back for another weekend as soon as possible.

Avantatges: Excellent hotel in easy reach of the Old Town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel recently refurbished to a high standard.

Avantatges: This newly remodeled up scale hotel is in a spectacular and convenient location. The rooms, restaurant and staff are wonderful.

Avantatges: The Hotel exceeded every expectation we had. The rooms were gorgeous, immaculate and extremely comfortable. The staff were excellent. The private beach was amazing, we just couldn’t fault it.

Desavantatges: If I was to be really picky we could have done with an extra couple of hangers. Failing that it was faultless.

Avantatges: Friendly, welcoming staff from the outset and throughout our stay. The hotel was apparently full, but never felt busy - quite the oppoisite! Great location just outside the busier Dubrovnik with a handy transfer by hotel vehicle every hour.

Avantatges: The hotel setting is stunning. There was an option to use different plug types which is really useful. Most of the hotel facilities are really nice.

Desavantatges: The prices are ridiculously high. We paid £100 (750 Kuna) for 1 beer, 1 cocktail, 1 chicken sandwich and 1 meat & cheese platter. The mini bar prices included a £15 charge for peanuts. The in-room facilities were also relatively poor. They offer 2 coffee sachets per day which given it’s a 5 star hotel seemed a bit ridiculous to us! The charging facilities didn’t work for us either. The whole thing felt a little bit like we were being squeezed for every penny we had at all times. Maybe make that slightly less blatant!

Avantatges: Very quiet island. Everything so well looked after & very friendly. Hotel beautiful location staff friendly & helpful. Easy to go Island hoping if you can tear yourself away from your sun lounger. Food exceptional.

Desavantatges: Hotel Restaurant seemed expensive compared to local restaurants.

Avantatges: Beautiful location. Sleepy harbour. Easy to get to from Dubrovnik- the ferry is inexpensive. The staff are fantastic.

Avantatges: Fabulous breakfast, superb dining facilities; the perfect location and hotel for a quiet getaway, and close enough to Dubrovnik City for a day trip or two; located on a beautiful island with really clear blue waters for those who enjoy swimming and snorkelling.

Avantatges: The hotel is perfectly situated on the beautiful island of Sipan. It's the perfect retreat for a break from the hustle of busy lives. The staff are friendly and helpful. The nearby little village is welcoming. The view is incredible.

Desavantatges: Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Avantatges: The position of the hotel is perfect the sun is always there from sunrise to sunset. The sea is always calm, position of hotel protected from the northerly and southerly winds.

Desavantatges: The bed sheets and towels.

Avantatges: What’s not to like - beautiful weather and swimming in the sea! Hotel was very clean and comfortable and staff friendly and attentive whilst maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. Wide choice at buffet breakfast with eggs and pancakes cooked to order. We ate dinner in the hotel twice and the standard was good. The young men tending the bar and sunbeds by the sea were great - nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed our trip to Bowa restaurant and the local fish restaurant in the village. Would definitely consider a return visit (as several of the other guests were doing).

Desavantatges: Wi fi frustratingly erratic and we only found one tv channel in English (the news - Brexit!!). Not much to do if the weather is poor - limited sightseeing. However, none of this really detracted from a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Avantatges: Really warm welcome from the host Nikolina. She met us at the old town gate and gave us a mini walking tour through the old town and referee good restaurants and things to do. Very clean and comfortable environment.

Desavantatges: Honestly everything was pretty good except it was a bit expensive for the size of the room. But considering you are in the old city of Dubrovnik its a great value for the location.

Avantatges: The Inn is in a central location. Very clean and staff very friendly. It is a family operation and is clear that they value quality and customer satisfaction.

Avantatges: The location was excellent, not many steps. Nikolina and staff were friendly and very helpful with recommendations and transfer arrangements. Our room was small, as expected, but well maintained. It was very comfortable, even though we stayed through a heat wave.

Avantatges: Nicolona is great she is so sweet , her hospitality is amazing. The place is quiet and clean . Very close to every thing

Avantatges: Great location in the Old City. Close to many sights. The owner, Nikolina was wonderful. She will give you great advice. This place can feel like home.

Desavantatges: Did not have an elevator. It can be difficult if you have heavy luggage and your room is on an upper floor. I had the room on the top, which was possibly the attic converted into a hotel room. It had an angled ceiling. If you are tall you may have a problem standing in this room. You will not be able to stand up upright in part of the room because of the angled ceiling.

Avantatges: Beautiful little place in a fantastic location run by a lovely lady. I'd recommend it to anyone

Avantatges: Location was superb. inside old city walls, near cathedral and old harbour yet quiet. Very friendly welcome, particularly from Nicolina, who was very helpful. All old town attractions and lots of eating places within easy walking distance. Homely feel to this family run hotel. Simple but clean comfortable room on the first floor, which had character including stone walls, and everything we needed including fridge and shower and large double bed. Hotel arranged very convenient pickup to and from airport for reasonable cost. Was possible to make tea and coffee in communal downstairs room, which is a big bonus as cafes can be expensive. Would highly recommend if you want a good and affordable hotel in Dubrovnik old town.

Desavantatges: Had to wait for someone to meet us at property . Was expecting to pay by credit card but although said I could on booking.com website ie property accepted all major credit cards was contacted after booking by property to say only accepted Euros

Avantatges: The Valamar President is an amazing hotel, it's just a 15 minute drive or bus ride to the old town. The views are incredible, the private beach is perfect, staff delightful, food in the beach side and main restaurant was beyond our expectations and much better value for money than those nearby. Room service without any additional charge, great free spa... I can't say enough nice things about this hotel.

Avantatges: Staff at all services were excellent! The Momenti restaurant was outstanding. The hotel definitely needs to supply support staff to the restaurant waiter. One person cannot service 8 tables efficiently.

Avantatges: Beds and pillows were really comfortable. Cleanliness of room was excellent. Views from room were brilliant.

Desavantatges: Could do with more reasonably priced snack menus. Drink prices , especially for beer, were excessive. No local draught beers available -only the bland international heineken on draught.

Avantatges: Having stayed here for our honeymoon, I can honestly say that The hotel staff have been amazing and go above and beyond offering great service. We have appreciated a bottle of fizz & room upgrade as this has really kicked off our honeymoon :)

Desavantatges: I was told lactose free milk was available but they had every kind of milk except lactose free. No sourdough bread which is the only bread I can eat. Poolside bar menu wasn't very interesting Piano bar staff not always attentive

Avantatges: It’s hard to find fault with the hotel. We were upgraded to a superior room which was lovely. The buffet dinner was excellent value.

Desavantatges: There appeared to be quite a few residents from the other Valamar hotels using the pool which made it quite hard to get a lounger at times.

Desavantatges: We couldn't fault the hotel or its staff. I thought I'd read there was a shuttle bus to the Old Town from the hotel but not so. Not a big issue - 10 minute walk to get on local bus.

Desavantatges: Lift access to different floors was very confusing and hard to get used to. However this did not detract from the beautiful hotel itself!

Avantatges: This was a standout hotel on our trip. The location is a bit removed from the old town but worth it as it provides a relaxed atmosphere in a stunning cliffside setting overlooking a beautiful cove. Sunsets there were fantastic. The hotel was very well staffed with friendly, helpful people throughout the property. Rooms were large, classically designed and very clean. Dinner and breakfast were well above average for this type of property. I would definitely stay here again.

Desavantatges: Getting acclimated to the hotel was very challenging. The hotel is divided into two separate towers that descend the cliff, requiring multiple elevators (and a confusing level scheme) as well as a walk through a parking garage to get to different spots in the hotel. It was quite a scavenger hunt on the first day learning the pathways to reception, restaurants, and the cave bar.

Avantatges: Great location, friendly staff, and good restaurants and cave bar. Lots of different areas to relax in, including secluded pools, jacuzzis, and a terrace by the waterfront. Would definitely recommend.

Avantatges: Very good location and short walking distance (7 min) from old town Dubrovnik. One of the small luxury hotels of the world and very private with only 13 rooms and valet parking. One of a kind breakfast specially at the terrace with view over Lokrum Island and Old Town. Staff always very kind and available to help.

Desavantatges: It would have been nice if we have a pool and gym at the same premises as the only options were to go to Villa Argentina or Excelsior Hotel (adjacent hotels and part of the same group) but this meant going outside Vila Orsula.

Avantatges: Everything was wonderful and as expected - worth the extra to stay here. Will definitely recommend and come back. The smiling staff and hosts were a pleasure at every meeting - they couldn't do enough for you. The lcoation is perfect - close to the old town - 7 min stroll but away from the chaos

Avantatges: Staying at Villa Orsula was like staying at a good friends home. It is the perfect combination of ideal location with privacy and the option of using facilities of larger properties next door. The view is priceless!

Avantatges: We were treated very well upon arrival and found a bottle of bubbly in our room together with some sweet treats. Our concierges were especially welcoming and helpful. They even allowed us to stay in our room for a late check-out. And the food was amazing!

Desavantatges: Debido a los cambios en la meteorología, nos llovió y la temperatura no era elevada, las habitaciones estaban frías al tener el aire acondicionado preparado para el calor (dos días antes hacía calor) y no para la temperatura a la que estábamos. El hotel trató de solucionarlo.

Avantatges: Calm oasis away from crowds of Dubrovnik. Lovely courtyard dining. Freshly cooked breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice quiet pool area.

Avantatges: Lovely 5 star accommodation with professional and friendly staff, comfortable rooms with everything you need and an exceptional pool area with wonderful service poolside (only from 1pm-6pm).

Desavantatges: A little far away from the old town of dubrovnik but this also had its charm, much more chilled and quiet. Lunch pool service would have been nice but there were delicious restaurants very close by.

Avantatges: We stayed for our anniversary, and it's a wonderful place for a special occasion. The courtyard is lovely, and we enjoyed our dinner and breakfast there. Nice view from the terrace bar. The room was spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff were very welcoming.

Avantatges: Staff was excellent - always very helpful with our silly tourist questions. Hotel rooms and art throughout the facility were tasteful. Pleasant outdoor space for breakfast and dinners, but wished we could also have had the option to eat breakfast at the scenic, covered cocktail area on the second floor. We were pleased there was an elevator too. Nice touches like Croatian candies by the bed at night made us feel good about staying there. The pool was pleasant to visit too. Although the location was not as close to the old city as we had thought, in retrospect, it was good to not be near the intensity of tourists visiting Dubrovnik. We could purchase local bus tickets right at the hotel reception and walk to a bus stop, so we were able to keep local transportation costs down. We had a car too and parking was free - awesome - and difficult to get!

Desavantatges: Really only one thing - the bathroom. It was nice but we could not just turn on a light in the bathroom because it always turned on a very loud fan too. The tub/shower was quite a high step. One had to hold onto a handicap railing and towel racks to get in. If someone has a physical challenge, it would be good to know this beforehand.

Avantatges: This is a very special & beautiful small hotel with a wonderful attentive staff. We really loved our stay here. The pool was stunning and looks better than the pictures. Breakfast was outstanding. Special thanks to the wonderful staff especially Anthony, Jenny and breakfast staff. Location was perfect, as we would walk 2 doors down to get bus to old town. Or you can walk down a beautiful tree lined promenade to Sunset beach.

Avantatges: The hotel is a beautiful, elegant building, well-situated on the very edge of the old town. The rooms were clean, bright and well-appointed. We particularly enjoyed being able to access the cool and peaceful "Executive Lounge" for free tea, coffee and snacks when we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of the old town for a bit. The afternoon cakes were a particular treat. It was great to have convenient car-parking too.

Desavantatges: Breakfast selection was wonderful and the food was excellent, however the service could be improved if the waiters were a little better organised and the restaurant layout was reassessed. All the team members were evidently working very hard so should not be criticised, but the large restaurant and high number of tables in relation to the position of the kitchen and clearing area, plus the waiters' reliance on trays that were just too small, meant that they simply could not be efficient at clearing and resetting tables at busy times, not matter how fast they worked.

Desavantatges: Que no tiene ascensor, es una casa protegida . Si estás mal de las rodillas, es complicado en el apartamento del segundo piso.

Avantatges: Situado a 10 minutos en coche del casco antiguo (5-7€ en Uber) y en una zona súper tranquila a 10 minutos andando de la playa. Es una casa antigua reformada con muchísimo gusto, elegante y con todos los detalles necesarios. La cama, comodísima! El desayuno lo ofrecían en un restaurante cercano (1 minutos andando) con variedad de 4 menús. Anita, la responsable del hotel, es una persona encantadora. Nos ayudó en todo lo necesario. Además, a 10 minutos tienen otro hotel y restaurante (mismos propietarios) y te permiten ir a las instalaciones de la playa. El lugar es de lujo, vistas magníficas y hamacas geniales! Sin duda volveremos!

Desavantatges: La limpieza diaria no estaba incluida, a pesar de haber toallas y accesorios de limpieza más que de sobras. Anita nos comentó que si necesitábamos algo sólo teníamos que pedirlo. Aún así, nos hubiese gustado que la limpieza hubiese estado incluida de forma completa.

Avantatges: This is a mansion that has been turned into a hotel. And if I could, I'd want to live in this mansion (does that say enough?). Located opposite of some shops (supermarket) and close to the water and boulevard with many restaurants and bars, the location is ideal. Busstop to the old city (Uber about 5€) located close by. This will be my first choice of staying in Dubrovnik next time!

Desavantatges: Everything was perfect! So no negatives

Avantatges: Lovely room and balcony. Bed was nice and comfortable. Bathroom was nice with a large shower. Location was good being a short walk from beaches and many restaurants and bars.

Desavantatges: Although we had agreed a time of arrival we were left waiting 20 minutes until the host arrived to check us in. Breakfast is taken at restaurant across the road and the options, although a few were restrictive.

Avantatges: The location of the villa was excellent very helpful manager and lovely room.

Avantatges: Anneka was helpful and very friendly, the room was lovely with a really nice big balcony. It was my Husbands birthday and they left a bottle of wine in our room which was a nice gesture

Avantatges: Modern and luxury, clean room. Pool was small but good for swimming. Very helpful staff and own free parking place. Short walk to the beach. Taxi to Dubrovnik costed 9 euros and bus stop quite close as well. Nice breakfast.

Desavantatges: Would have been even nicer to live closer to the old town but since we had a car, we needed a parking place.

Desavantatges: Towels should not be changed unnecessarily, unless specifically requested to be changed by leaving on them on the floor.

Avantatges: This hotel is outstanding and we’d highly recommend it. We stayed for just under a week on our honeymoon. Our room was lovely and clean with beautiful views out to sea. The room was well designed and laid out, providing plenty of space and storage. The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. The site is vast, offering several restaurants, beaches and swimming pools. There is use of the spa and it seemed family friendly too. We visited some of the restaurants in nearby Zaton which were lovely and very picturesque (we got Uber’s which was quick and easy!) Could not fault this hotel, we felt very lucky to have stayed here and have such a beautiful room. We were very sad to leave!

Avantatges: Fantastic experience in this amazing resort! The place exceeded my expectations. The resort has its own private beach, various relaxing spots, great locations to walk around, variety of restaurants inside and of course their spa & massage services. The residence rooms are amazing with a fantastic view of the sunrise from the balcony. The rooms are super clean, equipped with all the amenities and the resort staff were really friendly. Gladly would stay here again!

Avantatges: This is a magnificent property with views better than our native Hawaii. They upgraded us to an ambassador suite which must’ve cost thousands. We were treated like royalty and will never forget our experience here. We will certainly come back now because of this hotel.

Avantatges: Lovely outdoor pools and plenty of sunbeds. The wellness spa on the roof was really quiet with fabulous pool, jacuzzis and outdoor hot tub plus plenty of sun beds and loungers and quiet area. Quiet position away from the hub bub of Dubrovnik and bus outside for quick easy transfer into city every 15 mins. Hotel manager did deal with the problems we had with customer service in a pleasant efficient way.

Desavantatges: The staff on reception were very unwelcoming and uninformative. The customer service was poor. The hotel is more geared to conferences and coach parties rather than individual travellers. Food is mass catering for breakfast so lukewarm. Bedrooms are sparse and not luxurious - no homely touches. We were upgraded to a suite which to me means two rooms but it was just a massive room with hardly any furniture and what was there was like office furniture and curtains. Food in Mediterranean restaurant was good but very expensive. Difficult to get any kind of service to your room and phone went unanswered do had to trek up to reception every time and it is a big hotel

Avantatges: Breakfast had a wide variety of food. The fruit was fresh, pastry and hot food well-prepared. Chambermaid service was efficient and friendly. Good views Bus to old city stopped in Hotel car park. Good free wifi.

Desavantatges: This was a mis-buy for us. We thought we were buying a luxury hotel suitable for couples. It is a conference /corporate hotel ideal for large groups. This translated to being noisy, anonymous, crowded and inappropriately formal. . I don't expect a hotel to welcome me to my room by giving me an information pack that set out a long list of rules telling me what I can't do in the hotel and how I must dress to gain access to the restaurants. The hotel has a "hostage" mentality, common to old-school business hotels: It gouges guests for small items - sofr-drinks, snacks, water - on the basis that they will feel too remote or too isolated to provide for themselves. It also forbade me from putting my own water in the fridge in the room - which added insult to injury. I thought this attitude had died out in good hotels a decade ago. If I compare this to the Royal Blue, on the opposite side of the bay, I felt that I was being milked for money and not being given any personal consideration. We bought a superior room with seaview and balcony. The view was spectacular but the balcony comes with railings made of three large industrial metal bars that look ugly and block the view when you're sitting down. Other hotels in the area offer glass barriers on their balconies. This made us less inclined to spend time in the hotel. The Sunset Bar gives a great view of the sunset but it's so open plan and so close to reception that it felt like sitting in a corridor.

Avantatges: Loved this hotel! We stayed for 5 nights for honeymoon and it was idyllic! Not too busy, plenty of loungers by the pool and beachside. The sea was so clear! The cocktails were great too. The Maslina Tavern serves delicious food in a perfect romantic setting and the spa is excellent. The room was a little on the small side but very clean and a great view. 10 minute uber into town or a bus that stopped right outside the hotel.

Avantatges: EVERYTHING! THE DUBROVNIK PALACE IS SUPERB. STAFF, LOCATION AND FACILITIES ARE ALL FABULOUS. STAFF FRIENDLY, ENGAGING AND BEYOND HELPFUL. ADRIATIC SEA SUNSETS WERE BEAUTIFUL FROM EVERY AREA OF THE HOTEL AS IT FACES WEST. POOLS WERE WELL KEPT AND THE INDOOR POOL WAS THE BEST SECRET OF THE HOTEL. IT IS AWAY FROM THE NOISE OF THE OLD TOWN, YET EASILY ACCESSIBLE BY BUS,TAXI OR UBER.

Desavantatges: NOTHING.

Avantatges: The location was great - a short walk to the restaurant/activities district, but far enough away to avoid the noise. The staff was great. We didn't want to leave.

Avantatges: Nice room, crisp sheets and very comfortable bed. Occitane products in the bathrooms. Very comfortable outside chairs on our terrace.

Desavantatges: Quite a distance from old town, although the No 6 bus was very handy, frequent and good value.

Avantatges: Peaceful retreat from busy Dubrovnik. Excellent breakfast.

Meant that due to past disfiguring surgery, our balcony was not private and we could not use it. A request to move was not followed by staff despite a promise to do so. I expect better from a five star hotel

Avantatges: Everything; particularly the helpfulness of the staff.

Desavantatges: A small criticism; breakfast could have had more choices on cereals

Avantatges: Lovely friendly staff particularly at the roof top pool and bar, which was a fantastic space for relaxing and watching amazing sunsets each evening. Great location within easy reach of bars, restaurants and the old city. Will be back to stay next summer.

Avantatges: Excellent location for quiet relaxed break but convenient to old town Dubronik. Pool Top Bar service was excellent.

Desavantatges: Hotel would not facilitate late check out

Desavantatges: Muy inflexibles con el Check out a las 11 AM. Deberían contar con algún vestuario en el que poder ducharse y cambiarse una vez hecho el Check out. 20 USD por hora tarde de salida me parece excesivo para un hotel de esta categoría.

Avantatges: Only 20 mins on the bus to Dubrovnik, friendly staff, comfy room, shared facilities with the hotels in the complex was a definite bonus. Really liked On The Rocks’ bar next to the sea and the roof top bar & pool.

Desavantatges: Would be nice if the bars served food into the evening, giving a more informal option for dinner rather than the two fine dining restaurants. Meant we sought food outside of the hotel

Desavantatges: The swimming pools were so cold. It was such a shame as they were beautiful but just too cold to really enjoy.

Avantatges: The property is situated in a great location, with easy bus access to Dubrovnik Old Town, and wonderful views especially from the pool deck. The hotel had all of the services and facilities that we required, and all staff were friendly and efficient.

Avantatges: Everything about the hotel was more than we expected! I could really tell that he hotel is much loved by all the staff working for this hotel. Beautiful swimming pool, delicious breakfast, very good access to the beaches, clean & comfortable room, nice park, shops and very good Chinese restaurant nearby. Above all, very flexible, accommodating and welcoming staff in the hotel was the best part. We just stayed here for one night and moved to a holiday apartment near the old city, so the distance from the old town was not an issue for us.

Avantatges: It’s funny that as soon as you walk in to a place you know it’s going to be a great place to stay... the beds are so comfortable and the breakfast amazing... Staff were super friendly and to get in and out if town was only a bus ride from just down the road... The walk along the promenade to the restaurants was spectacular and the water crystal clear...

Desavantatges: I would only suggest two things.. One: install a satellite dish to then receive some English speaking channels for example Fox or allow apps to connect to your TVs e.g Netflix Two: out of three pools have one a fair bit warmer to swim in for those who don’t like icy cold water... maybe the indoor pool yeah...

Avantatges: Gorgeous property! Absolutely stunning views! Breakfast was delicious, along with dinner at Zoe. Saw the sunset from our balcony! Loved jumping into the sea as well as all the pools. The adults-only area was also a nice touch!

Avantatges: Very spacious hotel, with various restaurants and swimming pools, bars to choose from. Very beautiful location on the coast, very scenic. Easy walk to the LAPA beaches where there are restaurants and pubs, and good swimming spot. The bus into the old town is only 10-15mins ride. The cleanliness of the room was good.

Desavantatges: The hotel is lacking staff after hours. In the evening, the bar can be empty since the bartender is attending room service, a bit frustrating. The reception staff is not aware of the bus tariff (day ticket) which can save the client a bit of money on travelling instead of buying a single ticket for every ride. The shower head was a bit blocked and the jet wasn't very strong.

Avantatges: Location and restaurants. Breakfast was included and was substantial.

Avantatges: The views were amazing. The pools very nice and the access to the ocean was great.

Desavantatges: Check in was awful!!!!! They never had enough people working the front desk. There were three people in front of us and it took 45 minutes to check in.

Avantatges: The location was excellent: the beach just outside, the bus stop extremely close and Lapad Bay within walking distance. There were lots of pools to choose from and there was always a sunbed and umbrella available. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice of just about everything, the fresh omelettes were a bonus. I will definitely be returning.

Desavantatges: It would have been nice to have biscuits in the room to go with the tea making facilities. The chairs on the balcony were quite tatty and falling apart. The hair dryer in our room needing replacing as it wouldn't stay open with out holding it with your hand. A fixed hairdryer would be much better. The only moan about breakfast was that the fruit juices are not fresh, they are made from concentrate powder and water........not very nice.

Avantatges: Modern, clean, and gorgeous location with many choices of sun and water to play in and relax with the best sunset view at the rooftop bar and pool.

Avantatges: Loved everything about our stay in the beautiful Neptune. From the moment we were escorted by Christian to our fabulous ground floor sea view room we knew we were somewhere special. We've been to Dubrovnik several times and always wanted to stay here because of it's prime location for beautiful scenery, sea views and proximity to bars and restaurants without having to brave the crowds in the Old Town. If you do want to go to town the bus terminus is just across the road,
