In Madrid, they called to initiate boarding and we stood for 15-20 min before anyone moved at all; business class was then called, and we ended up standing another 15-20 min in the jetway before being ushered into the plane! Even in business class, the entertainment system was poor it's difficult to use and my system froze entirely on the way to Madrid. It worked on the way back, but the selection was relatively limited and poor."

Avantatges: "On my return flight to the United states, I got to fly with Iberia airlines. After flying my first segment with British airways, I wondered if the Spanish airline could keep up with BA's standards. Well, Iberia not only met the standards, but raised the bar! I am not sure if the fact that this was a day flight (unlike BA's red eye trip) or the fact that it took 2 more hours, but the crew served a full lunch, a snack AND a light meal, when with British i only received one full dinner and a morning snack."

Queixes: "My ticket said operated by British Airways so after an hour of standing in line - why there were two agents baffles me-- I was told to go stand in the Iberia one. I went to a kiosk and it didn't recognize my flight, so I finally got ahold of someone. The night before I was unable to check in because their site had crashed, so there was no way for me to know where to go."

Queixes: "Really disappointed with a lack of service. On the 8 hour flight we had one meal service within an hour of take-off and one within an hour of landing. No water or checks or anything for almost 6 straight hours, unlike my prior flight. I had to finally get up and ask for water. Very disappointed."

Queixes: "The bus to the plane stayed fully packed at the terminal for several minutes. I heard several people start complaining about their heat. The crew at the terminal were brusque. Other than that, the flight was fine. I wasn't offered any food or drink, but once we were flying, there were no additional delays."

The queues for Passport checks were completely unruly - no single lines, the dividers were left wide rather than keeping people single file, people were then jockeying for position to get through- because most were now risking missing their flight, tempers flared. Everyone was angry. A very unpleasant airport experience. Which certainly lends itself to an unpleasant flight experience. People were so worked up the tension was palpable. A problem easily fixed, if only there was some care. The passport check attendants moved at a snails pace. It felt deliberate. In these trying times, I was not impressed."

Queixes: "They forced us to check our bags at the gate even though we had an international connection to make in London--to continue flying to Chicago. As a result, we had to go through customs and security in London, and would have most definitely missed our connecting flight back home to the States if not for a woman in customs at Heathrow who let us cut to the front of the line. I will never fly Iberia again and will be lodging a formal complaint."
Avantatges: "Not once have I had a positive experience on American Airlines. I actually booked this ticket 4 times before finally receiving a fully confirmed itinerary. Only to get on the plane in SLC and sit on the tarmac for 90 minutes causing me to miss my connecting flight. The replacement flights I again missed because American couldn't find anyone to give the travel voucher to an airport an hour away for the replacement flight they booked. I've never seen a more consistently incompetent company."
Queixes: "On top of all of this, my bag is lost. I'm at my destination and have been for two days and American airlines all can't get me my luggage so I can start my vacation. This is the biggest joke of a company and I'm disgusted with their lack of accountability, responsibility for the problems they've caused and the insensitivity they've shown for their screw up."

La aplicación no se puede usar si no la descargas previamente y eso había que haberlo sabido antes de embarcar para poder hacerlo con el wi-fi de la terminal. Uno está de vacaciones en USA y generalmente no tiene datos móviles. Tantas horas de vuelo sin nada que ver se hacen interminables."

Queixes: "No clear advice about extra luggage fees In Miami I got help and paid $100 In Madrid, I tried to purchase the extra luggage on line. The website gave me an error. Once at the counter the person helping me there could not help either. I was charged $150 since the purchase was not done on line. I requested a supervisor: denied! My last trip with air Europa!!!"

Queixes: "This is a complaint regarding a luggage that was not included in my fare ticket. I was not informed from your company Kayak that the luggage was not included in the price. I had to pay extra money on top of the fare ticket of $150 for just one luggage just because was not mention on the fare ticket. Please give me an explanation of your policy in regard, and please advice people in regard of what I just mention otherwise I think your company tricks people without mentioning clearly that suitcases are not included to lower prices"

When I called one of them over she had no answers and when I told her about our connecting flight she giggled and said I probably wouldn’t make it. We missed our connecting flight and we’re rerouted 4 hours later. We’ve missed our boat to Venice and all we received was an 8 euro lunch voucher."

Estoy indignado. Nunca hubiera imaginado que eso es posible!"

Queixes: "The flight was delayed 30 minutes, for no apparent reason; and therefore the connecting time at Madrid for me to get my flight to Chicago, which would have been 60 minutes if the flight was on time, was cut down to 30 minutes. And the terminal where the connection was was 25 minutes away -- and this doesn't include time for immigration at Madrid. I had to run all the way, break the queue, and made it though they had shut the gate and had to re-open it. The connections are poorly timed."

Queixes: "The flight was overbooked and I was in standby along with other two passengers. The very rude lady at the boarding gate told us that the flight was full and that we could only board if there were any passengers not showing up. She assured us this was very unlikely to happen and that we will probably have to be allocated in another flight. I was lucky enough to be able to board the plane because there was a guy that was not going to fly with his wife. I was the last one admitted, and therefore the last boarding passenger. I could not believe my eyes when I got on the plane and saw SIX empty seats in business class!!!!! Just so you know, these people sell more tickets than the number of available seats they have in economy class and they rather to leave their overbooked passengers on the ground than to put them (or anybody else) in business class seats. Let alone that the leg room in economy class is ridiculous even for average sized people and I was really uncomfortable. But this is not the end of the story. Casi no llegamos a recoger el coche de alquiler, no llegamos a la cena en el hotel y perdimos el primer día de vacaciones "tirados" en el aeropuerto."

Queixes: "Awful experience. Could not print boarding passes online and tried to pull them up at the airport, but there was no internet connection. Staff was incredibly rude and tried to make us pay $50 to print on site. Finally downloaded the passes (which, by the way, we had to obtain at least 24 hrs in advance - an easy email to miss). "Priority boarding" (also paid extra for) was a joke. Everyone had to get on a bus to arrive at the plane, and no order was kept, so it was basically a free-for-all to board the plane (lots of flying elbows). As a result, the overhead space by our seats (second row) was filled and we had to put our bags much further back (again defeating the purpose of "priority boarding"). Upon arrival to our destination, there was zero indication that our checked bag would be at completely different terminal. It took going through lost and found and 2 information folks to find the correct baggage claim area (and another go through security). All in all, a terrible experience. Not worth the extra $$ we may have saved. AVOID!!!"

Queixes: "I had to jump through hoops to print a boarding pass even though I had Ryanairs app with a mobile boarding pass. 3 hours of my Sat and Sunday in Barcelona were spent searching for an open copy/print shop. Would have been nice to know more than 48 hours before my flight. I get to the airport after not finding a print shop, expecting to pay through the nose for them to print the tickets for me and they say I didn't even need it. They supply the boarding pass. Wow. The boarding is a joke. They don't board in zones, so the line was literally 180 people long. I wasn't even in the back of the line and it still bothered me. Now let's get to the plane, again, staff and pilot were great. The seats have NO leg room. I have long legs and it was miserable. No seat back pocket to put things. No recline on the seats. The aisle way sagged everytime someone walked past me, leaning my seat toward the aisle. I know, I know, you get what you pay for. This flight I paid for a lesson. That lesson being never never never ever ever ever fly Ryanair again. I would gladly pay a little more money to save my poor knees from being in that position again."
Queixes: "My 81 year old father was asked at the final hour to measure his carry on luggage right before loading the bus on the tarmac to take us to the plane. They had already looked at it at check in. They pulled him out of line after he handed over his passport and then told him they were going to charge him for his carryon because it was too big. He place it in the measuring device and it fit so it was not too big. They ended up not charging him but the experience was very unpleasant."

I think was not fair to charge me for checking in charges for about a minute or 2 due to a slow system at the airport when printing boarding pass. Other bad experience was very uncomfortable seats on the plane overall. In general just do much charges for everything."
Queixes: "You have to wait in crazy long lines and you will probably miss your flight like we did and fork out 250 euro for the next flight. They do not use technology and have far too few employees to handle the number of customers they have. I will never try to use this airline again. This is the first review I have ever written."

Queixes: "You pay for everything. Checked bags. Boarding pass printing. And the seats are tiny. TINY! I'm tall but not abnormally tall and my knees hit the seats. I'm also not obese, but the seats make me feel like I am. There is no hip room."
Queixes: "The trip started with being able to check in online but their website timing out before getting us our boarding passes (we tried multiple times on multiple devices) and it turns out it costs 15 euros to print your boarding pass in the airport.... After that dilemma we learned our standard carry on size bags were too big and we went online to pay to check them for 25 euros a bag. Had we paid at the counter it would have been 50 euros a bag... Lastly, there was the worst turbulence I have ever witnessed and I fly a lot."
Queixes: "We got to the airport over two hours ahead of time and were told since we hadn't checked in we had to go across the lobby and pay 60 more euros. I explained we didn't have a printer and the system wouldnt give us a boarding pass. He went on line and checked us in but couldn't print it so it would cost us 30 Euros. What a scam!! We will probably have to do the same going back since they dont accept foreign travelers using phone boarding passes. Will never use them again."
Queixes: "The ladies at check in Barcelona were extremely rude and acted like helping was an inconvenience. This was our first time using Ryanair and this initial impression made me never want to use Ryanair again."
Avantatges: "Efficient and on time. No need to arrive 2 hours in advance for a domestic flight. One hour is fine."
Queixes: "You have to pay to check a bag, which requires a separate window to pay, then over to the cpunter to turn in the bag. Very inefficient."
Avantatges: "Price starts off low"
Queixes: "High bag fees. Employees not helpful in answering questions. We asked to please allow us to weigh bags and were denied until we checked in which means an excess of 10e per kilo if over their 15k or 20k. Very expensive to travel in Europe with baggage. Read the fine print before booking and good luck talking with anyone callingvtheir internatiknal number. Boarding disorganized and very uncoordinated. Plane very filthy and dirty."
Avantatges: "Not much. Won't fly with them again. Would rather pay a bit more for being treated in a civil manner."
Queixes: "Ryan has zero customer service and treat passengers like cattle. Paid extra for 4 people to have priority seating and an assured cabin bag space, yet was forced by staff to check bags at gate! Staff don't appear to know their own rules or tickets? Insisted nothing on our tickets indicated we had paid for that service, yet ticket clearly said Priority!! Another staff member later said we were right and should've kept our bags but at that point it was too late as they'd be loaded. And, there were multiple spaces still left in cabin overheads for bags when we boarded. All they tell you is to go online later and make a complaint or try to get a refund for the priority fee. But I imagine that's pointless and expect little response. Ryan Air... ripping you off while pretending to offer you a service."
Queixes: "We were traveling through Europe the week prior to our flight. I checked in on-line 2 days ahead of the trip. when arrived at the RyanAir desk 2 hrs ahead of the flight, showed the checkin agent my check-in status on my iphone. After 5 minutes of her computer work, we were handed a slip and said we needed to go across to the Ryan Office to get a voucher, since we didn't print our boarding pass. I re-read the messages on my iphone which said to check-in ahead, or else penalty. Screen didn't say print boarding pass or else penalty. Spent 30 minutes + at the RyanAir office. They wanted an addition $150 (100 pounds) because we didn't print our boarding passes before showing up at the gate. I expressed we had been traveling in Europe the prior week and didn't have a way to print. They didn't care. A manager reduced the additional fee to $50 extra. Don't know why. After paying the extra, and spending 30 minutes, had to go back to the other line and wait another 30 minutes to get back where we were an hour prior, then were in a rush to make it through customs and make the flight. After making it to the gate, the flight was delayed about an hour, without any communication from the gate. Overall, after several hops with RyanAir and Vuelling touring Europe, this leg was a great reason to avoid RyanAir in the future. Vuelling was very helpful to a traveler like us and gladly provided a printed boarding pass!"

Avantatges: "I'd booked seats 1A and 1B, so I'm first off the aircraft, which is great because I don't have to fight my way through everyone else or everyone's massive cumbersome hand luggage, which it seemed the majority of passengers had."
Queixes: "Because of where I was sat it felt like I was in a waiting room, with people hanging around waiting for the toilet, and because once the trolleys have started going down the aisle, these people were stuck bang in front of me because they had nowhere to go, and when certain passengers personal hygiene isn't the best it's not the most pleasant of odours lingering around me."
Avantatges: "You get what you paid for. The flight is dead cheap, but it is all you get. Everything else will cost you extra money - including checking in at the airport or getting your boarding pass"
Queixes: "- Dont expect any customer service. They dont care even if you are in rush - Check in online and make sure you have your boarding pass printed and your luggage comply with the requirement, else you will need to spend 45 euro just for check in and another 45 euro for extra luggage in the airport - Even you have checked in online, they will require you to print the boarding pass and have your travel documents validated at the airport. I was in Barcelona, the checkin / baggage drop off does not do the validation, it is done by the sales counter. There were only 2 counters open and 50 people lining up to have their travel documents validated / change their flight. Took me 30 min just to let them confirm I can fly to Poland with my Canadian passport. Overall the ground staff is inefficient"
