I paid for extra leg room and then on way over made me pay to check bag (which was supposed to be free) and way back switched planes so never got extra room and had to pay for bag as well and now have to fight for my money back. I don’t like the feeling of having to always pay. If you want people to not carry on so much stop charging (especially on international flights) to check bags."

Queixes: "Delayed transport to flight, tiny non-reclining seats. Food offering mediocre and had to flag down flight attendant just to get water they we're giving to everyone but some of us apparently."

Avantatges: "I travel for pleasure a lot and this was my first time flying TAP Portugal. I flew from LIS to MAD and the crew were overall more friendly and smiling than on US domestic flights. The plane was clean and bright. I did not notice if the seats recline. I will be using them for short flights throughout Europe when I return for visit."
Queixes: "Flight was so short they rushed us eating the cookie and only water was served that I could tell. Also, TAP has their own boarding check-in wing of Lisbon airport. It was not clearly marked and Eropean arrows pointing up could mean to continue forward, as well as go to upper floors."

Queixes: "Charged double for baggage on moble check in. Called 3 times - spent over an hour to find out since I bought discount tickets no refunds for excess baggage. I didn’t want excess baggage their website automatically charged double - website said ecess charged automatic when checking in. Won’t use kayak again."

Queixes: "When I booked the flight, your site said that I would not have a luggage charge, but I was charged 37 euros more when I checked in."

Queixes: "The flight was cancelled few hours before departure. I called the customer service and they a flight to Tel Aviv a day after with 3 stops. It was imposible to accept, so I've cancelled and bouhgt another ticket from other airline and ask for refund. Three months later I still waiting for the money. Not recommend at all TAP."

Avantatges: "It was a very short flight, so non-reclining seats were not a problem. They also seemed a nice distance from the seat in front, so there was no problem of having the person in front basically in your lap."
Queixes: "They handed out a small biscuit which made me expect water or coffee to have with it. This is not the case."

Queixes: "I booked this flight months and months ago on Kayak, excited by what I thought was an excellent deal to go visit an old friend. When I got to the Boston airport, I was told there is a fee to check a bag with the ticket type I purchased- of 90 DOLLARS each way!!! This is absurdly expensive. I tried to pay with cash as I had very little on my card, and was told this isn't possible. So I had to pay the fee, and arrive at my 7 hour layover with next to no cash on my card- too little to buy a meal in the airport. So I had a miserable layover experience. I do not recall seeing this baggage fee listed anywhere on Kayak when I booked my flight- it looks like this policy took effect in September 2017, but I booked my flight in July. I am very upset about this additional charge- it is dishonest and I will not be flying with TAP again. I am also considering using alternatives to Kayak, as the TAP representative said that it's Kayak's fault the baggage fee wasn't listed."

Avantatges: "Crew did a good job of keeping their cool when my flight was canceled and merged with another. After 4 hours of delay because the Pope was traveling to the same place we were and having to hand out all new boarding passes to confused and anxious passengers, the crew were always friendly and helpful."

Queixes: "Agent at the gate wouldn't let me do a medical pre-board. When I checked it, the ticket agent said it wouldn't be a problem, I should just ask at the gate. The agent there said there would be no reason to board early even though I have a doctor's note. She said I could board with everyone else and was extremely rude and dismissive. Thank goodness the ticket agent helped me out (by putting me in a seat where I'd be first to board), but if he hadn't, it would have been a terrible experience."

Queixes: "It did not included luggage cost which means i had to pay additional cost. You SHOULD state it in booking pages (NOT LINK). If i knew it i would never use TAP. I found direct flight, cheaper. I want you to pay back."

Queixes: "We spent about a half hour waiting to take off"

Queixes: "Oph, I wish I had better things to say about this airline! The person who signed us in for our first flight did so as a "no show" (we didn't know this at the time). That flight was delayed (they didn't have enough room in the plane for luggage and were scrambling to put things below). Once we arrived in at our second location, we sprinted through the airport but arrived at our gate with 10 minutes to spare only to be told that the entire flight was full and that we were not able to board. We asked- how this was possible? We are here on time, we have booked our tickets months ahead of time, and there is no one else here at the gate... it made absolutely no sense. All the staff people did was shrug their shoulders and said that they couldn't help us and that we had to go to the transfer station. My friend and I were upset- by missing our flight we were losing our last night in Barcelona, seeing our friends, etc. before heading back to the United States. Once we got to the transfer station, we were even more confused and upset however, because the staff person there told us that in fact our seats were available and that there was no reason why were not allowed on the flight. However, she shrugged her shoulders and told her that there was nothing that she could do. She offered us a $10 meal card, booked us for the next flight 3 hours later (which put us in Barcelona late at night, way too late to see the city or our friends), and offered us absolutely no help in getting a refund. We asked to see the supervisor and after waiting another half an hour he came out and told us the story about how the staff person in Marrakesh put us as "no shows." This was a complete system failure, however he offered us no refund, no support, beyond telling us to go on the website and filling out a form. Once we got internet, we tried to get to the form- link broken. We called the help line, and after waiting another 20 minutes, we got connected to a woman who said that she couldn't help us- we had to go to the transfer service desk and fill out a paper form there or the electronic contact form. It seemed that every person had been well trained in how to pass clients from one system to another, to see if we would get too tired to file our complaints. No one has taken responsibility for this abysmal failure of the system, no one has apologized, and no one has offered any reimbursement beyond a meal ticket. I highly recommended that people pay an extra $20 for an airline where people are properly trained in how to use their computer systems, where they won't lie to your face, and where they may have a system where complaints and be properly filed and responded to. I have no idea how TAP Portugal is still in business."

Queixes: "Baggage fees not updated on website. Despite having done my due diligence about baggage fees, the airline didn't update their website since October for my November trip. So I get to airport and pay 74 euro each way for two bags! Old planes and poor customer service Also, nobody picks up their customer assistance telephone number"

Avantatges: "I only liked the price of the fare....everything else matched the price of the fare. Cheap and bad."
Queixes: "First of all I fly all the time at least once a week. This is my first time experiencing roaches on an aircraft!. I tried calling someone but I was looked at and ignored because I wanted to ask top change seats. I didnt want to cause a scene and affect the airlines reputation with people freaking out or feeling uncomfortable so I just moved to another aisle. Service very mediocre and plane was old."

Queixes: "To whom It May concern: My husband and I had a very very bad time trying fly from lisbon to Madrid through TAP. We booked together under same booking number. We don't know why my husband's ticket had been cancelled?? Thanks good! We have to spend five times more money to buy another ticket to fly together!! Now we try to find out what happened. Nobody want to take the responsibility!! Hope someone can give us the answer! Qi"

Queixes: "I booked one month in asvance and was told that I would be a standby flyer.. even after explaining that I had an international connection flight in madrid. I did not appreciate the added stress this news gave me."

Avantatges: "The crew was cackling and having fun in the back loudly, meanwhile there was no communication with us as to why we were late or when we would be arriving. When I called one of them over she had no answers and when I told her about our connecting flight she giggled and said I probably wouldn’t make it. We missed our connecting flight and we’re rerouted 4 hours later. We’ve missed our boat to Venice and all we received was an 8 euro lunch voucher."
Queixes: "It would have been great to have left on time, arrived on time and caught our flight. I also would have been better if we hadn’t been laughed at and actually aided us to catch our flight."

Queixes: "The flight was delayed and no announcement was made. The customers should be made aware. I paid extra for a premium seat which was too small for my husband’s knees to fit. He had to sit the whole flight with his knees turned sideways Into the aisle."

Queixes: "It couldve not been 44 minutes late in take off. It was stressful because I reserved a shuttle that would've left me had I been an hour late. And there was no explanation; just copious waste of my time"

Queixes: "Never check in your carry-on if they say there are too many carry-on's on the flight. I saw a lot of Spanish say no when they asked them to, now I know why. I am in Dublin 2days now with NO LUGGAGE or carry on, I have nothing, it all got "misplaced" in transit!"

Queixes: "I thought when I made the reservation that I had booked two aisle seats but had not and it was hard to sit in the middle seat when you are claustrophobic. Thankfully the flights were short."

Queixes: "The flight was delayed 30 minutes, for no apparent reason; and therefore the connecting time at Madrid for me to get my flight to Chicago, which would have been 60 minutes if the flight was on time, was cut down to 30 minutes. And the terminal where the connection was was 25 minutes away -- and this doesn't include time for immigration at Madrid. I had to run all the way, break the queue, and made it though they had shut the gate and had to re-open it. The connections are poorly timed."

When I called customer service Iberia Airlines rejected any refund and I ended up spending three extra hotels nights and Flights on Air Europa. My total out of losses were nearly $1,500 USD"

When I walked onto the plane, I found a fellow passenger peacefully sipping her airport-bought brew with no sign of reprimand from the Ryanair staff. I only ask that the rules be applied to everybody or not at all."

Then my flight proceeded to be delayed for 8 hours and nobody made any effort to help us understand what was going on"

Avantatges: "Can't get any cheaper than that so I did not expect much. The check-in process was not bad, and going into the plane was surprisingly easy. Was expected to be treated as cattle, but was pleasently surprised to find otherwise."

Queixes: "I paid extra for priority boarding and, though I was one of the first 20 passengers on board, I was not allowed to put my bag in the overheard compartment. I was told to put both my purse (not a tiny one, mind you) and my carry on bag under the seat. And, because I had an isle seat, the space was smaller than average. So I had to fly cramped up. Because I'm not an EU citizen, I had to queue up as if to check in luggage to have a stamp placed on my boarding pass. Then another queue to board the plane because they don't bother to call by row or group number like most airlines. The boarding was chaotic. The seats are very uncomfortable. They don't even give you one small cup of water. You have to pay 3 euros for a bottle of water that would cost you 1 elsewhere. Finally, the landing was very hard and shook everyone about."

Avantatges: "I sat in the front row and had plenty of leg room. A crew member kindly switched my middle seat for his window seat for which I was very grateful."
Queixes: "Ryanair did not offer any food or beverage for "free" (i.e., included in the price of our ticket). It was a huge hassle to get our boarding passes printed. We needed to do this in order to be spared a €50/person penalty which I think is outrageous. Boarding was a little intense."

Avantatges: "Nothing."
Queixes: "Last time we flew Ryanair, we did not check-in ahead of time, so we had to pay 53 Euros at the airport. We learned our lesson, so for this flight we checked in ahead of time and had our boarding passes ready on our mobile devices. When we arrived at the airport, we were told we needed a printed ticked so they could stamp it that they had checked our passport. It would be 53 Euros for them to print the ticket. The lady at the ticket counter directed us to the business center to print, but the Ryanair website wasn't working. I eventually printed a poor quality screenshot and hoped for the best. The lady stamped when she checked my passport. Nobody ever checked the stamped ticket beyond that point. What a waste. Ryanair is cheap, of course I'll fly with them again the next time I'm in Europe. My advice to travelers is to do your research and know all the loop holes they use to make money off of you."

Queixes: "When I bought the ticket, i was not clearly informed that we HAD to check in online before arriving to the airport. This was a huge issue. I held off checking in because I wasn't sure if my bag would fit in the overhead bins as I didn't have a tape measure. So I figured, like with every other airline, my wife and I would check in at the desk and pay for the extra checked bag if necessary. Well we ended up having to pay €50 EACH to the airport administrator to get a boarding pass. I went through all the documents I received from the airline, and nothing states that we had to check-in before we arrived. They said they sent me a text message to my hotel, which was the contact number I had put when we bought the ticket. That didn't do anything to help. We will be fighting this with the airlines, discussing our bad experience, and never flying with them again."

Queixes: "We purchased a luggage allowance of 15 kilos. As it turned out the exact same bag with the exact same contents fell within this limit coming from Madrid to Arrecife but not from Arrecife to Madrid. The person that checked our bag had absolutely no flexibility. We had to pay a fee for the 1 kilo overage. Later we purchased coffee before getting on the flight only to be informed we could not have hot beverages while boarding, something that has NEVER happened to me. The money you save on a Ryanair flight is not worth the absolute hassle they put you through, especially considering that you're liable to pay the difference in fees anyway."

Avantatges: "RyanAir line failed to help me when my main air fare was delayed and I came super late to Barcelona, unable to make any sort of help for me to be able to fly to Sevilla."

One in the 21st century might think, ill download my pass online, or to my phone, or even a kiosk in the airport. Be aware few of these are actually feasible options for americans traveling within the EU and may cause you to miss your flight."

Queixes: "Not from Ryanair, but Copenaghen Airport is a disaster! More than 1.5hrs to pass the security checkpoints and once you get there you realize that only 50% of the checkpoints were opened in peak season."

Avantatges: "As long as you are aware of a few things, flying on Ryan Air was great. You must check in a certain number of hours before your flight to aviod an additional check-in fee. I checked-in from the hotel computer the day before my flight. You should pre-pay for checked baggage and seat selection with priority boarding when you book the flight if you want those 2 items when flying on Ryan Air. If you dont want to pay for a checked bag, ensure you check the airline website to make sure your carry on bag meets the size requirements for carry on baggage. My flight was on time, they offered a selection of food and drinks for purchase during the flight. The staff was friendly. Everything was great."

Queixes: "First problem started when the Rynair website would not recognize my information when I tried to check-in online. I assumed that this may have been completed during the recent purchase because there website said my flight was confirmed. Arriving to the airport later than I would have liked but within more then the 40 minutes required to check-in when I arrived I was put on the incorrect line, after explaining that I wasn't able to check-in online, then when told finally I needed to go customer service. I should have been on the line to check-in instead, and after standing on long lines as a disabled passenger was told that it was to late to board. Your customer service agent didn't apologize for his staffs incompetence putting me on the incorrect lines to check-in and then did not offer to put me on the same flight schedule for the following day unless I payed an additional $100. I would have made my flight in more than enough time especially in such a small airport if the staff put me on the correct line to check-in. I was flying to Madrid on business and missed and had a small window of opportunity to meet a client who because of the delay would no longer be available because they were also soon traveling on business.This snow balled into a variety of problems; I had to pay for the apartment in Madrid I had pre-booked, and train tickets that where purchased would no longer be used, I had to go back to Paris and find another hotel to stay in."

Queixes: "I got charged €78 because they said that u have to check in online coz nothing on the booking or even the confirmation ssys that but they hide it in between the line in order to get more money so thats the worst thing i had in my whole life"
